We have been manufacturing greyhound coats for over two decades and this lightweight rain coat has been designed to fulfil a request often made by our existing customers. Having already purchased our fleece lined greyhound coat which is perfect for colder temperatures, customers were looking for a coat that would offer protection from the rain but could also be used in the summer when the weather was mild.
Mesh (this is used to line the water resistant shell) - Please note, some pictures show the discontinued beige lining, all new coats will be made with BLACK MESH.
These water resistant greyhound rain macs make the perfect walking out coat when you get caught in a summer shower. They are lined with a mesh fabric that makes the whole greyhound coat very thin, lightweight and less bulky.
These lightweight greyhound coats are made in two halves and then sewn together. Although this makes the manufacturing process longer and more complicated, it does allow us to add a contour that is tailored to followed the curved shape of a greyhounds back for a more comfortable fit.
There is no Velcro on this coat. Some dogs, many more than you might think actually, really hate the sound of Velcro ripping open. With the nervous disposition that this breed is sometimes known for, we have designed this coat using clip release buckles on the front and around the waist. The waist and chest fasteners have a large range of adjust ability too allow for the perfect, comfortable fit.
If safety is a main consideration for you, why not opt for the reflective option when selecting your coat. Top tip: if your dog is off the lead at night, raising a torch to your eye level and looking around will instantly made your dog light up and be visible.
