Why are dog toys important?

Dog toys are increasing in popularity as dog owners are learning the importance of them for their dogs fitness, mental health, enhancing affection, easy dental care and boredom breakers. 

We have chosen to add toys to our website for all of these reasons.

What is TPR and why have we chosen it ?

A large selection of the toys on our website are made from Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) as this is a relatively new material for dog toys we decided to create this blog to offer more information about what TPR is and why it is great for dog toys. 

Firstly TPR is safe for your dogs health and general well being and does not contain any risky and harmful industrial chemicals like BPA and phthalates which improve plastics elasticity and softness.

TPR enhances the quality of the toy and  is very durable despite being exposed to repetitive chewing.

The material is easy to clean and can be wiped down easily or even put in the dish washer!

TPR is relatively lightweight which makes the toys suitable for most breed of dogs to carry around and play with them.

TPR helps alleviate pain in teething pups because of the naturally textured outer smooth surface.

TPR is an eco-friendly raw material. It is eco-friendly because it can be recycled or remoulded even after an initial moulding process is complete to make another design using the same material.

The SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) polymer in TPR make-up has styrene-based segments in the chemical structure hence the superior strength and the excellent recyclable elasticity properties compared to other plastics and natural rubber materials.
