These aren't fitted coats, which is why they come in sizes with 4" gaps between each. They are designed to be oversized slightly as the extra towelling helps to dry your dog. Just like you when you get out of the shower and wrap yourself in a huge bath towel.
Slip over the head, wipe dry, then use the waist strap to secure it in place.
