Measuring 1.2m in approximate length, this shock absorbing lead is the perfect choice as a your everyday lead. With a padded handle for comfort, a strong clasp on the other end keeps your dog secure and safe. The lead has an elastic section in the middle that softens pulls and makes walkies a more comfortable experience for both you and your dog. The width is approximately 25mm (1").
Benefits of a Shock Absorbing Elastic Dog Leash
This elastic leash offers a degree of give when the leash is pulled. When a dog pulls a non-elastic leash, the force transfers through the leash to your hand, forcing your arm forward. To regain control, you need to tug the leash toward you. When a dog pulls an elastic leash, the elastic absorbs the force by stretching, then it contracts slowly, gently applying pressure to the dog.
The main benefit of the shock-absorbing lead is that it is self-correcting. If you have your hand jolted by an overenthusiastic dog, your instinct may be to apply equal force to the leash as a corrective measure. This can hurt and possibly injure the dog as the force he applies to your hand returns to his neck. The shock absorption of an elastic leash make it difficult for the dog to jolt his walker and for the walker to jolt him back with the same force as a non-elastic leash. Instead, the leash gently contracts, slowly applying more resistance as the dog pulls.
Works really well, especially when my dog sees a cat !

Like this lead, good amount of bungee, comfortable to hold.
I would love it if the unbungee area (on the collar side of the lead) has a loop on it, so you can hold your dog more easily close to you around people & other dogs without the bungee bit extending the lead… my husband tends to grip the lead in the wrong place (on the bungee area) … resulting in not enough control! Still training!!!

The lead is very good. Much better than the leather one I used before.
Very good quality.
I am very pleased.

This lead certainly does what it claims to do ie cushions the potential jarring to the shoulder when my very lively Border Terrier lunges towards an attractive scent. I use it daily.

It’s a great lead but not for my Akita he is 120lb and it was a bit too short and not as “springy” as I expected but it would be great for a normal dog !!!

A great lead for my excitable whippet pup. It softens any lunges as we walk passed other dogs and people.

It's a well made quality product and whilst being elasticated there is still a limit the dog can pull. It definitely softens the pressure on the dog if it suddenly lurches foreward. Not sure that it stops them pulling though

Lovely lead. With the bungee bit makes walking easier and softer

We have rehomed Tilly - a 5 month whippet cross. She’s highly inquisitive and walks were a battle until we purchased this lead and harness. It’s really helping with her training too! I’d highly recommend.

This lead is a game-changer! Highly recommend it (and I've tried a lot of different leads). It has just the right amount of stretch for a whippet-sized dog. No more yanking your arm off when they go after a squirrel!

Good bungee lead, strong enough to take the worst out of the kick from our little lurcher.
